Here are some resources to support the course. In particular this is a place to find versions of the Maple examples that I do in class. You can download these and they should work fine in Maple 9.5 or higher on either a PC or a Mac.
NOTE these are not web pages so you will get a messy text file if you just click on the links. Don't do that. Instead right-click (PC) or control-click (Mac) the link and select "save linked file". This will let you download the file to your machine where it can be opened and otherwise played with.
First one is the fully commented Maple file for the Cardioid problem that we
studied in class Wednesday September 2nd.
Right-click or Control-click here to download the file as a text file.
Right-click or Control-click here to download the file as a Maple file.
On Wednesday September 9th we looked at the problem of a projectile travelling under conditions of quadratic friction. First we have the Excel spreadsheet for the 2-D quadratic air resistance problem.
Right or Control-click here to download the spreadsheet.
Then comes my demonstration of solving the 2-D quadratic air resistance projectile motion problem in Maple. It can be found here.
Here come a bunch that deal with oscillations. Some of these I used in class and some I did not but all might be of interest.
Next we have Maple plotting multiple functions on a single graph and solving the undriven, damped SHO.
Maple worksheet for the square wave Fourier analysis.
Fourier analysis of driven damped SHO in Maple.
Here are both PC and Mac versions of the Euler angle explorer program. In either case right/control click and download.
Mac version of EulerViewer This has been compressed with Stuffit and should be expandable with the free Stuffit Expander.
